DMCI Teams Up with Special Search and Rescue Experts for Intensive High Angle Training – June 2025
In a strong commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness, D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) partnered with International Technique Services – Special Search and Rescue (ITS-SSAR) to conduct a comprehensive High Angle Rescue Training program for selected personnel.
The three-day specialized training was held on June 16, 19, and 20, 2025, and focused on equipping participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform rescue operations at heights — a crucial capability in construction and high-risk industrial environments.
Led by certified instructors and rescue specialists from ITS-SSAR, the sessions combined classroom instruction with live demonstrations and hands-on exercises. Participants engaged in realistic rescue scenarios, simulating incidents where workers may be stranded or injured in elevated or confined spaces.
“Safety is not just a compliance requirement — it’s a core value,” said a DMCI safety officer. “By partnering with experts like ITS-SSAR, we’re making sure our team is prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.”
ITS-SSAR is a recognized organization specializing in Mountain Operations, Water Rescue, and High Angle Search and Rescue. Their involvement ensured the training adhered to national and international rescue standards.
The successful completion of this training marks another step forward in DMCI’s continuous efforts to foster a culture of safety, readiness, and resilience across all its projects.

MOSAR- Mountain Search And Rescue Course
The Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Training Program aims to equip rescue teams with the essential skills and knowledge needed to conduct effective search and rescue operations in mountainous and rugged terrain. This training focuses on the unique challenges of mountain environments, such as difficult terrain, changing weather conditions, and the physical demands placed on both rescuers and victims.
High Angle Search And Rescue Course
High Angle Search and Rescue (SAR) training involves specialized techniques used to safely rescue individuals from elevated locations or challenging terrain, such as cliffs, steep slopes, or tall structures. This type of training is crucial for first responders, rescue teams, and mountaineers who work in high-risk environments.
Rope access Level 1,2 and 3 Course
A Rope access course covers various knots used in different fields like camping, sailing, climbing, fishing, and rescue operations.
BLS/EFR (Basic Life Support/Emergency First Responder)
To provide participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to perform lifesaving techniques in emergency situations, ensuring prompt and effective care until professional medical assistance arrives.
WASAR - Water Search And Rescue
To equip responders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively conduct search and rescue operations in aquatic environments, including swift water, flood conditions, and still water scenarios.
COLLAPSE STRUCTURE SEARCH AND RESCUE
An Collapse Structure Search And Rescue course is designed to train emergency responders in locating, extricating, and providing medical aid to victims trapped in collapsed buildings or other hazardous urban environments.
